Flush
Oi.. I haven't messed with Sims 3 for a while. Tried messing with some of the new community released content. Good stuff.
This set is based on warm colors, a dash of pink. Trying to see if I could get pink to go dark/ambient on the first one - also mix with some semi matching green for her secondary palette.
Flush - Casual
The formal one just becomes all out pink at the highlights.
Flush - Formal
The sleepwear is semi-nsfw. It's a similar palette as the casual but a much lighter yellow/green (looks kooky at full saturation).
Flush - Sleepwear
She's got this little cat tattoo on her shoulder but I keep changing her hair and forgot about it...
Sheila - Ivory Tower
A new set I was testing with. Shelia is a model I haven't used much. This is her office-wear...
Lauren - Yellow and Black Dress
Trying to compose some scenes that mesh warm and cool colors in some strange ways. Purple always mixed with yellow quite well but having shades of green in there really brings the scene to life.
This is really one of my favorite dresses for Lauren. It's simple yet alluring.
... I just realized I forgot to change the patterns for the night-stand. As you might have noticed, it's from the last set Snow was shot in.
A Sims 3 Photo Studio...
I decided to try setting a stage for capturing images of my most recent work. CAS's background was just not doing it for me anymore.
The first thing I encountered was the freedom of creating the stage. Making a box-room, flooding it with light, added patterns, some furniture, then dropped the lady sims into the room. The poor girls are probably hungry or dirty due to lack of care, but I don't care much since I'm using cheats :)
Also - turning my graphics settings all the way up with full AA certainly helps. I'm surprised my machine handled it flawlessly.
I won't post up my process today but I'll just leave some screens here of the results. My main gripe is the lack of interesting animations and poses for sims that are alone.
Starla - Snow
This set is based around Starla's natural shades (highlights?) and hues.
Frost
An alternative hairstyle for Frost
Snow
This set is made using a TS3 "blank clothes" skin. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to link that here... but anyway the following pictures are not that SFW but what are you doing browsing Sims 3 at work??
A variation of Snow
Sleet
An alternate haircut for Sleet on the left
Ice
I'm not as satisfied with this one. It makes Starla look more barbie doll than she already is.
Different outfits for different occaisions
Lauren wearing outfits for different occasions...
white bow
I think the pattern is from a series called When Animals Attack by Plum
office chic
Slightly "scene"
oriental
More of a dinner-party, gallery, clubbing sort of outfit. Chinese-inspired look.
yellow and black
Not much to say about this one
nightclub
She looks upset because many guys are trying to hit on her.
studying
Secretly Lauren is a bookworm. The bunny pattern comes from a Kawaii for Children collection found on modthesims.info
Forest and Seasons
This series I'm still working on. It's theme is primarily forest + seasons.
For example:
Spring
Autumn
The ripped pattern is by Robokitty and can be found at modthesims.info
Winter
Obviously it's not meant to be "what you wear during that season".
Starla, new patterns
Just one more post of Starla. The honeycomb pattern is from a set called When Animals Attack by Plum, from http://www.modthesims.info/
This is just a modification of her formal dress with that honeycomb pattern.
Celeste
This is Starla's younger, sluttier sister Celeste.
everyday
European mid-60s style boots with matching top.
formal
Sort of an Urban-Outfitters-inspired pattern with a wooden-plated thigh-high boots.
Starla
Here's a character that I've always made in every iteration of
The Sims. She often ends up as the classy, mis-guided, absent-minded
girl of the neighborhood that everyone wants to hook up with but can't.
I call her Starla.
everyday
Her colors are mostly pale, pearly, and sometimes glittery. For the
Sims 3 I started to pair her up with some greens and oranges.
formal
Starla is the type of girl you'd find in an underground San Francisco
party standing out of the crowd with her faux 60s outfit. She's always
ready for photography which unabashedly ends up on her facebook :p
sleepwear
Sims 3 is great for this sort of pattern-matching...
work-out
Not much to say about this one except that over-the-knee socks when
working out are probably not very helpful. She probably wears
stockings-glue.
swimwear
Not much to say about this one either.
